Abstract: Students Physical Education – Between Compulsion and Necessity. The paper presents the results of an inquiry regarding physical education and the way the students perceive this activity: as being compulsory or as being a necessity.We questioned a number of 185 students from the Faculty of Letters of the “Babeş-Bolyai” University.The answers to our questionnaire and the information we received from discussions with the subjects shown the fact that they realize the necessity of this activity but they are complaining about the material basis, the schedule and the big distance among various locations. It is confirmed that some medical excuses are not real. The organization of medical physical culture groups is a necessity. It is also stressed out the opportunity of student competition activity. | |||||||
